The Electrical Network Systems Conference is a unique opportunity for Electrical utilities including engineers, supervisors, field personnel, maintenance leaders, and many others to gain perspective and knowledge on Underground Network Systems. Attendees are invited to participate in the general session, roundtable discussions, vendor shows, vault touring and conference activities. During the general session, presentations and topics of discussion are largely based on safety, maintenance, relays and communications and overall best practices. It is recommended to come with questions and insight from experiences as participation is welcome and encouraged throughout the conference.
Early Bird Registration $895.00 ends January 17th, 2020. Regular Registration will be $1,095.00 Cancellation Policy: There will be a $100.00 fee for any cancellations prior to March 6th, 2020. There will be no refunds 30 days prior to the conference.

The Electrical Network Systems Conference offers Vendors the opportunity to network and speak with electrical utilities across the United States. Attendees range from Engineers, supervisors, field personnel, maintenance leaders, and many other personnel that work directly with Underground Network Systems. The Vendor exhibits take place on Monday and Tuesday nights during the conference where vendors are provided with a 8’ X 8’ area which includes a 6’ table, 2 chairs, & electrical outlets. Vendors also are given the opportunity to advertise in the conference handbook or sponsor a break. Space is limited so early registration is encouraged.
ENSC Vendors: Due to limited space, there will be a cancellation fee of ½ the cost of the registration fee ($797.50) prior to February 7th, 2020. There will be no refunds 60 days prior to the conference.

This training will take place at the Hyatt Regency Houston (Conference Hotel).
This course is geared toward utility technicians and electricians who are required to maintain and service Network Protectors. Eaton, formerly Westinghouse Electric, has over 90 years of experience in Network Protector history, design, theory, and operational safety and practice. Eaton instructors have expertise in relay theory and Network Protector mechanisms and operations.
Come join us as we delve into Network Protector products and cover both common troubleshooting approaches, maintenance testing and operations. Included in the coursework is a 2-part, 4 hour training session which will encompass hands-on training covering product schematics and test kit operation. The training coverage will include the following products:

CenterPoint Energy will be hosting the 2020 ENSC in Houston, TX. This Utility is a Fortune 500 electric and natural gas utility serving several markets in the U.S. This includes states of Arkansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Texas. CenterPoint Energy has as expansive downtown network system with a large underground cable system.
CenterPoint Energy instructors will provide training on how to make proper splices and terminations on underground cables. The training will consist of the following:

The ENSC Magazine is a bi-annual publication featuring articles related to Network Systems such as industry reports, best practices, implemented solutions, etc. Articles will be written by utilities, manufacturers and other primary sources pertaining to the Electrical Network Industry. The Fall 2019 issue of the magazine will be published on the ENSC website and e-mailed to over 1,200 utility personnel. Vendors are invited to advertise in the magazine, each ad is an 8.5 x 11 colored advertisement of your choosing. Advertisements must be submitted by September 10, 2019 in order to be included in the Fall issue.
By sponsoring a break at the ENSC, your company logo or advertisement of your choosing will be displayed on 2 - 20" X 18" signs that you may keep after the break. Yout will also have the opportunity to briefly speak at the general session prior to your scheduled sponsored break. Whitehall Lane is one of the scheduled wineries on the list of Napa tour stops. Due to the size of the group, they are requesting that attendees register in advance to ensure a seamless experience.
This interactive session covers the design of a 480V spot network leveraging Eaton’s CYME power system analysis software. Eaton will discuss how to evaluate different design considerations for optimization of a standard low voltage 480V spot network. These design considerations will be analyzed using the CYME software. A temporary license for the CYME software will be available to those taking this course who don’t use CYME.

This two-part training session given by Kinectrics will provide insight on problems commonly seen in network distribution systems. Part I will focus on medium voltage cables with discussions on common failure mechanisms, advanced testing methodologies to assess the condition of existing installations and means of detecting and mitigating potential failures. This will include two case studies demonstrating the application of the detection and mitigation methods. Part II will focus on grounding fundamentals and considerations in design of manhole grounding systems.
