The Electrical Network Systems Conference is a unique opportunity for Electrical utilities including engineers, supervisors, field personnel, maintenance leaders, and many others to gain perspective and knowledge on Underground Network Systems. Attendees are invited to participate in the general session, roundtable discussions, vendor shows, vault touring and conference activities. During the general session, presentations and topics of discussion are largely based on safety, maintenance, relays and communications and overall best practices. It is recommended to come with questions and insight from experiences as participation is welcome and encouraged throughout the conference.

Early Bird Registration $895.00 ends January 17th, 2020. Regular Registration will be $1,095.00

Cancellation Policy: There will be a $100.00 fee for any cancellations prior to March 6th, 2020. There will be no refunds 30 days prior to the conference.

Vendor and Booth Registration

The Electrical Network Systems Conference offers Vendors the opportunity to network and speak with electrical utilities across the United States. Attendees range from Engineers, supervisors, field personnel, maintenance leaders, and many other personnel that work directly with Underground Network Systems. The Vendor exhibits take place on Monday and Tuesday nights during the conference where vendors are provided with a 8’ X 8’ area which includes a 6’ table, 2 chairs, & electrical outlets. Vendors also are given the opportunity to advertise in the conference handbook or sponsor a break. Space is limited so early registration is encouraged.

ENSC Vendors: Due to limited space, there will be a cancellation fee of ½ the cost of the registration fee ($797.50) prior to February 7th, 2020. There will be no refunds 60 days prior to the conference.

Network Protector Training

Performing Protector Maintenance Training
(For Utilities Only)


Monday, April 6th

Come join us as we delve into Network Protector products and cover both common troubleshooting approaches, maintenance testing and operations. Included in the coursework is a 2-part, 4 hour training session which will encompass hands-on training at Eaton's Experience Center covering product schematics and test kit operation.

The training coverage will include the following products:

CM-52 Network Protector
      - Remote Racking
      - NPArms
CM-22 Network Protector
VisoBlock Operation
Test Kit Operation

Eaton will provide lunch and transportation as this class will be held off property.

TENTATIVE Training Schedule:
6:30 AM - Bus Departs the hotel to Eaton's Experience Center
7:00 AM - Hands-on and Classroom trainings begin (20 people max in each part)
9:00 AM - Groups switch to attend the second portion of the training
11:00 AM - Lunch
12:00 PM - Bus Departs Eaton Experience Center to return to the hotel

Network Engineering Training (Software Analysis Based)

Designing a 480V Spot Network Vault with Fuse and Limiter Coordination

This course will take place at 7:00 AM at the Eaton Experience Center.

Why Attend?
The unique operation of Network Systems requires specialized training to ensure adequate equipment selection. This includes Network Protectors, Transformers, fuses and associated equipment. Because companies expand and widen areas of responsibilities, many times the experience gained on Network Systems is lost and is important to stay up-to-date on the required training.

Course Content:

  • Network Protector Relay Theory and Operation Fundamentals
  • Network Relay Operation Details, Setpoints and Network Protector Reactions
  • Network Systems and Power Flow Systems
  • Network Systems Level Considerations including System Impedance Angle Analysis Comprehensive Spot Network Power Flow Simulation

This is an engineering level course that includes mathematical computations. A scientific calculator is recommended. A Laptop computer with MS Excel is preferred but not required. Load Analysis program (in Excel) and class notebook will be provided with each registration.

ENSC Magazine - Fall 2019 Digital Edition

The ENSC Magazine is a bi-annual publication featuring articles related to Network Systems such as industry reports, best practices, implemented solutions, etc. Articles will be written by utilities, manufacturers and other primary sources pertaining to the Electrical Network Industry. The Fall 2019 issue of the magazine will be published on the ENSC website and e-mailed to over 1,200 utility personnel. Vendors are invited to advertise in the magazine, each ad is an 8.5 x 11 colored advertisement of your choosing. Advertisements must be submitted by September 10, 2019 in order to be included in the Fall issue.
