The Electrical Network Systems Conference is a unique opportunity for Electrical utilities including engineers, supervisors, field personnel, maintenance leaders, and many others to gain perspective and knowledge on Underground Network Systems. Attendees are invited to participate in the general session, roundtable discussions, vendor shows, vault touring and conference activities. During the general session, presentations and topics of discussion are largely based on safety, maintenance, relays and communications and overall best practices. It is recommended to come with questions and insight from experiences as participation is welcome and encouraged throughout the conference.

Cancellation Policy: There will be a $100.00 fee for any cancellations prior to March 13, 2025. There will be no refunds 30 days prior to the conference.

Why Attend?
The unique operation of Network Systems requires specialized training to ensure adequate equipment selection. This includes Network Protectors, Transformers, fuses and associated equipment. Because companies expand and widen areas of responsibilities, many times the experience gained on Network Systems is lost and is important to stay up-to-date on the required training.

Course Content:

  • Network Protector Relay Theory and Operation fundamentals
  • Network Relay Operation Details, Setpoints and Network Protector Reactions
  • Network Systems and Power Flow Systems
  • Network Systems Level Considerations including System Impedance Angle Analysis Comprehensive Spot Network Power Flow Simulation

This is an engineering level course that includes mathematical computations. A scientific calculator is recommended. A Laptop computer with MS Excel is preferred but not required. Load Analysis program (in Excel) and class notebook will be provided with each registration.
